Senior Data Architect – Finance & Controlling Analytics
The Data Assets & Analytics department at Bayer Consumer Health focuses on enabling digital transformation by creating best in class analytical solutions, enabling data-driven decision making and performance optimization for Bayer Consumer Health’s organization.
You will be part of the global data assets team and responsible to technically guide projects in the area of finance & controlling. You partner with business stakeholders, data scientists, analytics leads, data & platform architects and engineers as well as implementation partners / vendors and are the technical lead for our Company Core Data Assets. You ensure a proper data management, data ingestion, data pipeline orchestration as well as proper serving of data for analysts of Controlling and Financial data. Key Tasks & Responsibilities :
- Own & lead technical implementation and management of well-integrated, enriched, and re-usable data models and analytics products in the domain of Finance & Controlling
- Collect and Manage data requirements of data consumers, translate them into technical concepts considering re-usability & cost efficiency, and partner with data providers in Bayer to collect financial & controlling data from source systems
- Ensure that best-practice data management and quality assurance processes are defined and applied, continuously enhance implementation frameworks based on the needs.
- Collaborate with business functions (global & regional business stakeholders) and other IT functions (enabling functions data asset teams, analytics teams, data science teams, platform product managers & integration architects) to ensure delivery on the above mentioned activities.
- Lead the integration of different data sources (Profitability Accounting, Overhead Management, Sales & Distribution) in order to develop globally harmonized and re-usable data models & KPIs meeting the business requirements
- Steer the delivery team, provide cost and time estimations, challange vendor costs and assure hight quality delivery of vendor implementations & proper handover to support
- Illiterate consumers on how to leverage Finance & Controlling data properly to answer respective business questions
- Contribute to best-practice exchange in our Data Architect community
Qualifications & Competencies (education, skills, experience) :
Bachelor / Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar5+ years' working experience in the field of Data & Analytics, preferably in the area of Controlling (COPA, SD, COOM etc.), and life cycle management of analytics products (development, testing, launch, training support, shutdown) and the CPG industry.Excellent data architecture & technology knowledge and data engineering skills in spark-based data processing solutions (tech stack : Azure Data Lake Gen2, Databricks, Snowflake, SQL, Python)Profound knowledge reporting solutions such as Tableau or PowerBI, and data management know / how (data cataloguing, data quality management)Profound knowledge of CI / CD processes and tools (GitHub, Azure DevOps Pipelines)Good data content knowledge of SAP CO, FI, & SD Modules is a mustExperience of SAP BW / SAP HANA is a plusExperience in delivering data as a product and experiences in leading data engineering teams.Experience in applying Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).Problem solving and analytical skills, combined with impeccable business judgement.
