At Smith+Nephew we are looking for : Marketing Automation Specialist
The Marketing Automation Specialist is a key role responsible for maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of our marketing automation platforms. This position plays a critical role in configuring, optimizing, and maintaining the marketing automation system to drive targeted campaigns, nurture leads, and streamline marketing processes. The goal is to leverage marketing automation technology to enhance customer engagement and achieve marketing objectives
What will you be doing?
- Develop Automated Marketing Campaigns – Build and optimize integrated marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Automation Studio, and data extensions to enhance customer engagement and experience
- Innovate & Improve Campaign Design – Bring scalable, data-driven solutions to campaign development, leveraging platform capabilities to drive efficiencies and better targeting
- Provide Expert Consultation – Advise internal teams on best practices and advanced usage of Salesforce Marketing Cloud to maximize its potential
- Translate Business Needs into Technical Solutions – Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, document processes, and develop functional specifications in collaboration with technical teams
- Develop & Maintain Marketing Cloud Assets – Create and manage dynamic, interactive, and responsive emails, templates, journeys, and campaigns using HTML / CSS, AMPscript, Journey Builder, and CloudPage development
- Manage Data & System Integrations – Maintain data imports / exports using SQL, develop Apex classes and Visualforce pages, and ensure seamless system functionality
- Stay Ahead of Industry Trends – Keep the team informed on emerging marketing automation best practices, including segmentation, deliverability, content personalization, and compliance
What will you need to be successful?
Marketing Automation Expert – 5+ years of hands-on SFMC experience, including Journey Builder, AMPscript, and email marketing best practicesTechnical Skills – Strong in HTML, CSS, SQL; experience with JavaScript, APIs, and Salesforce Data Cloud is a plusProblem Solver – Ability to troubleshoot, optimize automation processes, and find innovative solutionsStrong Communicator – Can explain technical concepts clearly and collaborate across teamsOrganized & Detail-Oriented – Manages multiple projects with accuracy and efficiencyResults-Driven & Curious – Passion for learning new tools and delivering measurable impact. Salesforce certifications preferredYou. Unlimited.
