Key Responsibilities
- Drive strategic transformation of the Tax technology landscape by providing architectural guidance on opportunities for modernization, rationalization, and integration.
- Design scalable, secure, and future‑ready IT solutions for finance, with a focus on tax‑related processes, aligned with enterprise architecture and strategic goals.
- Ensure solution designs promote operational excellence, meet performance standards, and comply with internal and external regulations.
- Provide architectural advisory and oversight for implementation of new solutions, leveraging modern technologies such as APIs, Cloud Computing, S / 4HANA, and AI.
- Assess impact of regulatory changes on tax and finance systems, proposing necessary architectural adjustments.
- Act as a subject matter expert across the organization, supporting IT initiatives in the tax area.
- Stay current with technological trends and innovations in finance and tax domains.
- Lead discussions with central and market‑based tax stakeholders to understand business needs, provide consultative guidance, and make architectural decisions that best address those needs.
- Partner with the Tax IT Portfolio Manager to ensure architectural alignment in portfolio planning and management.
- Collaborate with Service Managers to ensure solution designs support operational excellence, maintainability, and service continuity.
- Provide architectural input into incident, problem, and change management processes to mitigate future risks.
- Support the definition of service‑level requirements and ensure solutions meet agreed SLAs and KPIs.
- Partner with the Domain Architect for Finance to align tax solutions with finance architecture strategy.
- Collaborate with peer architects across domains to ensure end‑to‑end process integration and architectural consistency.
- Contribute to architectural governance forums and design reviews to promote shared standards and reusable patterns.
Qualifications
Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.Minimum 8‑10 years designing and delivering solutions across platforms such as SAP ECC, SAP DRC, SAP S / 4HANA, SAP CFIN with a strong focus on finance and ideally on tax domains.Deep understanding of finance processes, ideally with Tax focus.Experience working in global environments with complex regulatory and compliance requirements, e.g. around SAF‑T, E‑Invoicing.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.Strategic thinking and the ability to contribute to long‑term roadmaps and transformation initiatives.A proactive, can‑do attitude with a focus on continuous improvement, problem‑solving, and driving results in a dynamic environment.Relevant SAP Certifications (e.g., Financial Accounting and Management Accounting in ECC or S / 4HANA). Certifications in AWS, TOGAF, ITIL are a plus.Familiarity with cloud‑native architectures, API integration, data migration strategies, and AI knowledge / experience is a plus.What We Offer
