Purpose of the position
- Enable growth and cost competitiveness of HIAB Services Spare Parts business with systematic vendor management practices in Hiab Spare Parts in close collaboration with main category sourcing organization and other business stakeholders
- Responsible for source selection and the identification, tracking and implementation of cost saving actions to meet the year on year productivity targets for the respective category using global benchmarking in order to leverage spend and optimize purchasing synergy.
- Main category focus on HIAB Services Spare Parts spend and suppliers
- Improving supply and delivery performance of key European Distribution Center (DC) suppliers by implementing stocking and consignment solutions
- Accountable to create, develop and execute sourcing activities to minimize total acquisition cost whilst maximizing sustainable and operational performance across Hiab services units to secure benchmark total cost of ownership as well as driving profitability and growth together with high levels of delivery and quality performance
- Manage sourcing activities in Hiab Spare Parts legacy and Service BOM area and secure demanding and complex multi-tier sourcing arrangements, promoting Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and early supplier involvement
Main tasks and responsibilities
Identification, development and execution of the sourcing activities across Hiab Spare Parts spend to optimize use of Hiab resources over the E2E product lifecycle addressing strategic commercial sourcing requirements, supplier preferencing, securing early focus on service and end-of-life requirements, supplier consolidation and pipeline to secure continuity of supply and emerging business needsPrepare and run Hiab Spare Parts related RFQs with key vendors to enable assortment standardization, cost & lead time development and vendor relationshipSuccessful cross-functional participation in New Product Development, SRM, early supplier involvement and selection with technology development, productivity, total cost reduction make / buy programs, should-cost modelling, and business process and system implementationSupport new product development by taking ownership and leading all sourcing deliverables within own area of responsibilityIdentifying, tracking and implementing cost saving actions to meet the year on year productivity targets for the categoryLead the QAP process with support of Category Supplier DevelopmentEvaluate and develop the supply base. Introduce new suppliers as appropriate to meet the current and future needs of the business, at the same time ensuring continuous improvement in terms of cost, quality, delivery and new product introduction in a global environment.Contract negotiation including payment term, quality / warranty / logistics annexes and raw material indicesCooperate with Services DC supply planning to support capacity planning and scalability / flexibility planning via development of Logistics agreementsCommercial participation in supplier assessments in conjunction with Supplier DevelopmentProvide support to escalate, drive recovery plans and resolve supplier quality / delivery issues using root cause analysis tools & methodology to ensure production requirements are secured. Primary focus on expediting and improving delivery performance with key suppliers in European DC.Adherence to and maintenance of all relevant Purchasing processes and systems in line with Hiab Central SourcingWhat you’ll need to succeed
Education :
Degree Level or Equivalent, with relevant engineering and / or industrial experienceExperience :
At least 3 years of relevant global industrial experience (truck, construction machines, mining, agriculture or automotive)Minimum 3 years relevant work experience in sourcing roles in an international and multi-site companyExperience in working with large suppliers with global multi-site footprint and managing supplier relations and negotiationsProject management, cross-functional improvement teams and supplier development programsExperience in using ERP systems (Preferably SAP)Competencies :
Excellent knowledge in sourcing methods; supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, analytical skills and legal / contractual knowledgeContinuous improvement mindset with a business-driven and fact based approach towards suppliers with a focus on building long-term relationshipsExcellent communication, cooperation and influencing skills when working with different senior level roles internally within Hiab Services, Hiab and Cargotec and externally with different suppliersBCC / LCC Sourcing in EMEA and APACSenior level contract and commercial negotiationLanguage skills :
