For our Client, a global legal services firm with an office in the centre of Warsaw, we are looking for a candidate for the position of Senior Accountant / Independent Accountant.

Requirements

university degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics,
min. 5 years of relevant professional experience in accounting or tax,
strong working knowledge of Polish tax regulations, particularly VAT and WHT,
proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel,
good command of English,
analytical mindset and ability to identify opportunities for process improvement,
experience in large international organizations - will be an asset,
willingness to engage in local and international implementation projects.

Responsibilities

preparing monthly and annual tax declarations (including VAT, WHT),

supporting month-end and year-end closing in both corporate and statutory ledgers,

managing daily cooperation with banks and overseeing financial transactions,

performing bookkeeping in the local accounting system,

processing corporate credit card transactions and monitoring cash flow,

handling intercompany payments and reconciling partners’ remuneration,

preparing statutory reports for the National Bank of Poland,

participating in both local and global finance optimization projects.
