QA Automation Engineer

Contract Type : B2B

Department : Cybersecurity

Work Model : Hybrid — minimum 6 days per month onsite at the office (preferred locations : Kraków or Warsaw)

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Automation Engineer to join our Cybersecurity Core Engineering team, focusing on Automation and Integration. This is a hands-on role that involves working closely with development teams to define, implement, and promote testing best practices within a DevSecOps delivery model. The successful candidate will contribute to a centralized QA practice and play a key role in driving quality and automation across our software platforms.

This role combines both educational and technical aspects, including secondments into development teams to uplift testing maturity and delivery efficiency. It is ideal for someone passionate about automation, quality, cybersecurity, and modern software development.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with QA leads and application owners to define test planning, strategies, and design.

Identify gaps in test practices across teams and recommend improvements to increase testing efficiency, effectiveness, and coverage.

Promote and help implement robust test frameworks, tools, and processes.

Actively support teams in maturing towards fully automated testing workflows.

Maintain and develop manual and automated test assets, test environments, and quality metrics.

Contribute to knowledge-sharing across QA communities of practice via templates, tools, training materials, and insights.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers focused on product integration, automation, and user / data interaction.

Triage bugs by identifying issues in logs and assessing test failures.

Support initiatives related to Data, Network, and Endpoint security (or show willingness to grow in these areas).

Actively participate in improving security test coverage in a cloud-based environment.

Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience as a QA Engineer within Agile software teams.

Practical experience designing manual tests for web applications and RESTful APIs, including integrations with third-party systems.

Strong proficiency in Python for scripting and test automation.

Hands-on experience with front-end testing tools such as Cypress , Playwright , or Selenium WebDriver .

Experience using API testing tools like Postman , Pytest , or REST Assured .

Familiarity with CI / CD tools and pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions , Jenkins , GitLab CI ).

Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS , GCP , or Azure .

Experience working with test management tools like QTest or Tricentis .

Understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks and web architecture (React, Angular, Vue.js).

Ability to read and analyze application logs for debugging and test validation purposes.

Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Bonus : Familiarity with cybersecurity domains or a strong motivation to learn.
