Role Overview :

As the Business Development Manager at SGS Digicomply, you will play a key role in driving growth by executing strategic sales initiatives, acquiring new clients, and building strong customer relationships. You will contribute to the evolution of the product by collaborating with internal teams to shape product strategy and innovation. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing top-tier key accounts while focusing on winning new logos. This role is essential for expanding SGS Digicomply’s market presence and increasing its overall sales.

Job Duties :

  • Develop and execute SGS Digicomply’s sales strategy to attract new clients and expand market share, leveraging industry expertise and strategic sales techniques.
  • Collaborate with marketing and demand generation teams to define campaigns and lead nurturing strategies to attract prospective clients.
  • Work closely with SGS Digicomply’s technical teams and global business development teams to align sales efforts and drive successful deal closures.
  • Provide feedback to product management teams and contribute to the product strategic evolution and innovation roadmap.
  • Represent SGS Digicomply at industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities to raise brand awareness and generate new business.
  • Oversee Customer Advisory projects, including regulatory dossiers and product requirements for key clients.
  • Manage top-tier key accounts, ensuring high levels of service and identifying opportunities for increased value.

Qualifications

Skills and Knowledge :

  • Proven experience in business development, particularly in industries such as SaaS solutions for consumer goods, process manufacturing, food and beverages, retail, or distribution.
  • In-depth understanding of global regulatory frameworks and the ability to navigate complex compliance landscapes.
  • Expertise in digital marketing, business consulting, partner development, and client relationship management, especially at the executive level.
  • Strong ability to create tailored business cases to win new customers.
  • Demonstrated success in networking, selling, and establishing relationships with senior decision-makers.
  • Solid understanding of innovative approaches to business development and sales.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to drive results and influence stakeholders.
  • General Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in relevant areas are a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in business development, particularly in B2B and SaaS environments. Strong experience in acquiring new clients and managing high-value accounts.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a geographically dispersed global team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive results under pressure.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales analytics.
  • Willingness to travel as required for client meetings, industry conferences, and networking events.
