Mechanical engineer

Job description

  • CAD design of mechanical parts and assemblies such as enclosures for high-end electronic devices intended for operation in appropriate space environments on satellites.
  • Perform trade studies to select the appropriate design solutions (select of materials, coatings, manufacturing technologies etc.) considering the requirements for launch and spaceflight.
  • Close cooperation with the thermal control engineers, system engineers, electronics engineers and projects team.
  • Preparation of technical documentation.
  • Assessment of risks and reliability for mechanical solutions.
  • Personal involvement in assembly and laboratory activities.
  • Planning and execution of experiments.

    What we expect :

  • Education : At least a Master’s degree in mechanics, mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Experience with 3D CAD design software (preferably Autodesk Inventor).
  • Knowledge of FEM simulation and vibration load testing.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Familiarity with Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
  • Language skills : English (very good oral and written skills, ability to read and write technical documentation).
  • Knowledge of space industry design standards (e.g. ECSS) will be an advantage.
