Senior Contracts Specialist will be based in our Warsaw, Poland office, and provide sales-related Contract Services and general legal support to countries in Central Europe;  primarily Poland, Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania; secondarily, Czech Republic, interactions will be in Polish and English language , with minimal level of supervision.

Onsite presence is essential  for effective collaboration and fostering our dynamic team environment. With our hybrid policy allowing one remote day per week, proximity to the office is a key requirement.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be :

  • Reviewing, drafting and negotiating agreements and transaction documents in compliance with applicable policies and legal and ethical standards, with minimal direction Responding, within established guidelines, to customers’ RFP / RFQs, vendor qualification documents and contractual requests Aligning with customers, using appropriate contractual language to reflect the business interests and policies of the parties
  • Taking the Contracts Lead role on Complex international and multi-BU project contracts Frame agreements (global, multi-BU & -WA)
  • Working with customers, members of the legal team and other Emerson partners to bring deals to closure
  • Analyzing business, financial, and legal risks
  • Researching information on existing agreements and contractual programs, assisting with analysis and compiling data for reports
  • Providing legal advice and interpretation of legal matters, including the application of law
  • Providing direction to outside counsel on routine matters

For This Role, You Will Need :

  • Bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent experience
  • License to practice law in Poland
  • years of work experience in a contracts-related role
  • Intermediate MS Office skills
  • Excellent oral and written  English and Polish  language skills; other languages are an advantage
  • Extensive knowledge of Contract law & principles
  • Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart :

  • Commercial provisions such as warranty, liquidated damages / penalties, payment & freight terms, documentary credits and bank in a complex Matrix organization
  • Completion of IACCM Contract and Commercial Management (CCM) Training Program to Practitioner Level
