Job description

We are looking for two Marketing Managers who will each support a different business segment – Flexible Packaging and Sheetfed Packaging – by driving global Marketing & Communications initiatives that contribute to the overall growth strategy.

  • Secure consistency and alignment in the product portfolio & hierarchy that FG brings to market across its regions, in order to improve our profile and impact.
  • Drive the value proposition development process and strong product messaging across all sales channels.
  • Develop marketing content & assets to enable a digital ‘always on’ presence for products and services.
  • Develop and distribute core product presentations and sales materials to support Sales & Technical & KAM teams.
  • Lead product launches & promotion initiatives including product marketing activities.
  • Act as project manager for relevant and agreed Marketing projects (e.g. structural, digital, launch & development projects).
  • Measure the effectiveness and efficiency of MarCom initiatives in order to document the value the role brings to the business.
  • Lead planning and execution of selected events & conferences.
  • Translate industry & customer trends into relevant product marketing positioning and communication topics.

Role Deliverables & Accountability :

  • Define the product level proposition for relevant segments per product categories
  • Shape and articulate our product differentiation vs. competitors (USPs)
  • Clarify core product benefits & messages for customer facing efforts across channels (in collaboration with Product Managers)
  • Drive the product brand naming strategy & process (products & services) in collaboration with Corporate Brand & Communications team
  • Own and maintain the product portfolio displayed on Flint Group’s website and other digital platforms (Brandfolder, FlintLink, Umbraco)
  • Develop core content and marketing assets for Flint Group’s website & platforms (copy / text, product flyers, videos, infographics, papers, blogposts)
  • Create and maintain core product & services presentations to be used in front of customers (in collaboration with PM’s & Services team)
  • Develop lead generating (customer nurturing) digital features e.g. “value calculators” or “product selectors” for customers to use online
  • Embed our sustainability agenda & PRISM framework throughout the marketing efforts to help promote the circularity & recyclability of our products & services
  • Identify and drive creation of internal customer case stories and external customer testimonials (written & video format)
  • Maintain overview of demo print & print samples together with product managers and local sites
  • Act as interface to product management on technical product content
  • Support development of product training materials & help facilitate internal sessions (Webinars & Zoom sessions)
  • Gather regional feedback on product marketing topics to amend into product marketing plans
  • Brief and manage external specialist resources (freelancers & agencies) where necessary
  • Secure successful implementation & evaluation of agreed initiatives
  • Ability to prioritise and manage a considerable workload while adapting to an evolving business & market place
  • Proven ability to cooperate across a matrix organisation, influencing international, cross functional teams without formal authority
  • Strong English communication skills – written and oral
  • Ability to challenge the status quo, contribute to new ideas, foster and cultivate change
  • Strong project & stakeholder management skills
  • Proficient user of Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Experience from a similar role in a global, technical B2B company (preferably 3-5 years of experience working in a commercially focused marketing or communications team)
