Project Scope

You’ll be responsible for improving scalability and performance of a distributed ledger system. This includes going deep into the application code, JVM internals, database queries, server configuration and much more. Previous performance-related work is a great plus.

Tech Stack

Scala 2.13, PostgreSQL, Pekko Streams, Docker, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana

Team

Located in Switzerland and Krakow, it consists of 4-6 people and a Product Manager.

What we expect in general

  • Strong proficiency in  Scala  and its ecosystem, or extensive experience with  low-level JVM internals  and  high-performance Java  development.
  • Deep understanding of  performance optimization.
  • Strong  communication skills  and the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
  • A  pragmatic approach  to problem-solving, balancing technical excellence with real-world constraints.
  • Ability to work effectively  within a team , contributing to a collaborative and high-performance engineering culture.
  • Good command of English (B2 / C1).
