WHO WE ARE
SUEZ is a major player in environmental services. For almost 160 years, SUEZ has supported local communities and industrial companies in the management of essential services such as water, waste, and air quality. As such, SUEZ produces drinking water for 66 million people worldwide, recovers 2 million tons of secondary raw materials per year, and generates TWh of renewable energy from waste.
You will join SUEZ Europe & Central Asia, a Business Unit (BU) looking to achieve significant growth in its Water and Waste activities in the countries selected in the Group's strategic roadmap for the medium-term plan. The ambition is strong, and the BU wants to develop its activities notably in the countries where it is currently active (Poland, Czech Republic, Denmark, Romania, Croatia, and Uzbekistan). Additionally, Suez also keeps a close eye on the market, so that we can potentially develop in other countries in the region.
SUEZ is present in Poland through different entities and sites : ARA (recently acquired), Czernica, Mława, Białystok, Warszawa and Mikołów. SUEZ Poland operates different businesses related to the water and waste treatment : development of new water projects (from the design and build of water treatment plants, to their operation and maintenance), development of Energy from Waste projects, and delivery of smart solutions products and services to water utilities.
MISSION
With a view to standardization and operational excellence, you will participate to the consolidation of best operating practices applied on waste methanization plants operated by SUEZ and to their implementation in our Polish subsidiary.
During the first year, you will be based in France (Paris or Bordeaux, as you prefer) and work under the supervision of technical experts to update and improve the operational know-how base for SUEZ’s methanization plants. You’ll travel in France, Czech Republic, Poland and the UK, meeting plant operators and industrial site teams to collect and consolidate best practices.
For the second year, you’ll join our Polish subsidiary (ARA Cursus) based in Legnica, where you’ll assist the local operational team to implement the knowledge gathered in year one.
Your mission will focus on optimizing operations and acting as a liaison between the Polish teams and the SUEZ Group’s centers of expertise.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
WHICH SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE ?
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious graduate with a strong academic background. A Master’s degree in Engineering (, Bioengineering, Environmental Sciences or related fields) is required.
Given the international dimension of the role and the need for daily interaction with local and central teams, fluency in Polish, English and French is required.
