Software Engineer

A software engineer delivers software components that form part of a product.  Individuals in this role will : ​

• Develop software to meet user needs​
• Follow best practice guidelines and help to improve those guidelines​
• Write clean, secure, and well-tested code​
• Coach and mentor more junior colleagues​
• Operate the services they build and identify issues in production
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• 3+ years’ experience as a software engineer.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java , Python , C# , JavaScript , or others.
• Experience with frontend frameworks such as React , Angular , or Vue .
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
• Proficiency in software design and architecture .
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code .
• Familiarity with IDEs such as Visual Studio , IntelliJ IDEA , or Eclipse .
• Knowledge of CI / CD tools and practices .
• Understanding of database management and SQL .
• Experience with relational and / or NoSQL databases .
• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design .
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools .
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills .
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment .
