What You Will Be Doing
Technical Accounting & Compliance
- Lead global accounting for all stock-based compensation programs, including RSUs, stock options, PSUs, and ESPPs under IFRS 2 (Share-based Payment) and ASC 718 (US GAAP).
- Ensure accurate recognition, valuation, and reporting of equity awards throughout their lifecycle, including modifications, forfeitures, and settlements.
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual disclosures in compliance with IFRS and SEC (US GAAP) reporting requirements.
- Partner with external auditors to support annual audit and statutory financial reporting globally.
- Monitor changes in accounting standards and assess implications for current policies and programs.
- Support the Shared Service Center in managing the reporting and accounting of intercompany journal entries specifically related to share‑based compensation.
- Support quarterly and annual budgeting, planning, and forecasting activities related to share‑based compensation.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, IFRS 2).
Global Process Ownership
Oversee monthly close activities related to stock‑based compensation across multiple regions and entities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.Ensure accurate equity compensation data is integrated between equity administration platforms and the general ledger.Maintain robust internal controls and documentation to comply with SOX and global audit requirements.Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Serve as the accounting liaison for HR, Payroll, Legal, Tax, and FP&A teams on equity‑related matters globally.Support HR / Compensation in the design and implementation of new global equity plans, modifications, or special award programs.Provide strategic accounting input for complex equity transactions (e.g., M&A, buyouts, mobility impacts).Leadership & Strategy
Develop and maintain global accounting policies and procedures related to share‑based payments.Lead or support systems and process automation projects to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.Provide guidance and training to regional accounting teams on local IFRS reporting related to stock compensation.What You Need To Succeed
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CA, or ACCA required.8 – 10 + years of progressive accounting experience, with experience in stock‑based / equity compensation.Strong technical knowledge of both IFRS 2 and US GAAP (ASC 718), including experience preparing financial disclosures.Experience working in or with multinational companies or portfolio company with global equity programs.Familiarity with equity platforms (e.g., ComputerShare, ETRADE, Fidelity) and major ERP systems.Familiarity with intercompany recharge models and tax compliance requirements.Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.Strong leadership and cross‑functional collaboration experience.What’s In It For You
