Job descriptionStrong software engineering skills with 2–4+ years of experience building production systems. Proficiency in Python, and a willingness to dive into data-oriented tooling and workflows. Experience designing and maintaining APIs, backend services, and / or automation systems. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, etc.) and CI / CD pipelines. Strong communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced environment. Interest in or experience with data platforms like Airflow, Kafka, or Snowflake is a plus. 1st : Initial Chat with Talent Partner (30 mins via Zoom) 2nd : Values Interview with our People Partner and an Engineering team leader (1 hour video via Zoom) 3rd : Technical Interview with the team, one of our Senior Software Engineers & Senior Software Architects (1 hour video via Zoom) 4th : Final Leadership Interview with our CTO and the Hiring Manager, Claudio Pozzoli and Filip Modrzejewski (1 hour video via Zoom) Super smart colleagues to work alongside and learn from. The Role
Legend is hiring a Software Engineer, reporting directly to our Senior Engineering Manager.
In this role, you’ll help design and build the internal systems that power key business functions - from automating operational workflows to integrating with external data sources. While you’ll work as a generalist across a variety of internal tools and services, you'll also gain deep exposure to our data stack, making this a great fit for an engineer who enjoys building infrastructure and is curious about data products. You’ll collaborate closely with Data, Ops, and other Engineering teams to solve practical business problems at scale.
Your Impact
- Build internal tools and services, dashboard, visualizations that improve workflows and decision-making across the company.
- Create scalable APIs and integrations with third-party systems and platforms.
- Support and improve the internal developer experience and system observability.
- Contribute to data tooling, pipelines, and interfaces used by analysts and stakeholders.
- Help maintain code quality, reliability, and performance across the team’s stack.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
