We are currently recruiting for a Finance Officer on behalf of a large international humanitarian organisation with a global footprint. This is an opportunity to contribute to impactful work supporting vulnerable communities worldwide.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Validate all office payments, including local staff salaries, social security, taxes, benefits, and other deductions.
  • Ensure all payments are properly documented and compliant with internal financial procedures.
  • Monitor balance sheet accounts at month-end and follow up on the reimbursement of private expenses by staff.
  • Record petty cash and bank transactions in the ERP system in accordance with cash disbursement guidelines.
  • Support monitoring and reconciliation of working advances to National Societies and staff, ensuring timely clearance in ERP.
  • Assist the Finance Coordinator with program budget preparation, monitoring, and updates.
  • Lead the month-end closing process : prepare journals, process transactions, and reconcile accounts.
  • Coordinate and follow up on project forecasts and monthly cash requests.
  • Maintain proper documentation and ensure monthly financial returns are filed and uploaded to relevant folders.
  • Support delivery of financial training to office staff and partner National Societies as needed.
  • Prepare financial reports and conduct analysis to support program decision-making.
  • Manage bank signatory updates and ensure secure banking operations for Country Cluster Delegation accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with internal administrative and financial procedures.

Requirements :

  • University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, reporting, and audit.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget preparation and financial control.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (experience with Re@dy is a strong asset).
  • Fluency in English and Polish (written and spoken).
