RISE with SAP S / 4HANA Cloud, private edition is one of the key deployment options for our customers cloud transformation. It provides a comprehensive cloud infrastructure and managed service offerings to our customers as an essential part of the overall Cloud Strategy of SAP. This enables customers to safeguard their existing SAP ERP investment, while benefiting from a new level of flexibility – tailoring the software to meet their specific needs, retaining company-specific configurations and customizations of their SAP ERP system, and accessing the latest capabilities that give their company a competitive advantage.

Under RISE with SAP, SAP allows customers to run their SAP S / 4 HANA and other SAP applications in a managed private cloud environment either in SAP’s own datacentres, IaaS Hyperscalers, SAP Premium Suppliers or in customers’ own existing datacentres. SAP has established strategic partnerships with the major cloud infrastructure providers, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), to offer customers maximum choice for their SAP private cloud deployment.

MEET YOUR TEAM

Cloud Architecture & Advisory is an integral part of the Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) organization. ECS drives and develops the S / 4HANA Private Cloud portfolio to cater to our customers’ needs and operates most of the RISE landscapes.

The Cloud Architects & Advisors are a group of highly motivated and customer focused people, which validate the technical feasibility of RISE with SAP S / 4HANA Private Cloud deals during the presales phase and are the trusted advisor post signature. This is crucial to ensure all customers get landscapes that match their requirements and to drive the customer adoption of SAPs cloud offering.

The Mandate of the Cloud Architect & Advisor spans the initial sales cycle , the subsequent change request and renewal events for S / 4HANA private cloud architecture changes. The CAA advises customer and internal account teams on SAP’s private cloud offerings, assesses the technical feasibility of customer’s requirements and transitions those requirements to our delivery teams for system provisioning and delivery to the customer.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

This is a customer facing role where you will support the sales teams during the entire cycle of a Cloud deal. Following are the key tasks that this role will perform :

• Present in detail technical and operational aspects of the RISE with SAP S / 4HANA Cloud, private edition offering, including respective managed service offerings (usually to CIO’s, IT managers, data center managers and SAP Technology staff)
• Present the technical requirements and value proposition for SAP private cloud on SAP Data Centres, Premium Suppliers and hyperscalers like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Conduct technical assessment workshops with customers to define the future cloud architecture and plan the migration roadmap together with partners, System Integrators, and or SAP Professional Services.
• Guide customers on non-functional capabilities such Business Continuity, Cybersecurity & Compliance, Networking, Technical Operations, and service consumption.
• Work on Pricing using tools such as Quote Tool, Configurator etc.
• Work with other teams within the Customer Success board area to generate pricing and provide ongoing deal support to sales teams.
• Own the technical discussions with the customer and act as the orchestrator of experts to obtain expertise from the SAP Enterprise Cloud Services delivery organization as required.
