Product Owner – Strategic Portfolio Management

Role Overview

The Product Owner will act as the bridge between business process owners, IT implementation partners (MSP), and executive sponsors, guiding the successful implementation and harmonisation of the Strategic Portfolio Management module across our client's global landscape. This person will own the product vision for SPM, translate business goals into system capabilities, and drive adoption by ensuring best‑practice use of out‑of‑the‑box functionality rather than customisation. This is a high‑impact, hybrid business–technology leadership role that, as part of the Global Platform Team, will operate at the intersection of business process design, enterprise IT architecture, and stakeholder alignment.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the product vision & roadmap for SPM aligned with strategic portfolio and project management goals
• Gather, prioritize, and translate requirements from diverse global stakeholders (Finance, IT, Operations, PMO, etc.)
• Ensure harmonization of processes end‑to‑end
• Collaborate closely with the Managed Service Provider (MSP) running the technical implementation to ensure business requirements are delivered
• Promote adoption of best practices and standards, out‑of‑the‑box functionalities to reduce complexity
• Ensure stakeholder alignment across regions, departments, and business units
• Communicate and report effectively at all levels – from operational teams to executive management
