Job descriptionLead global expansion and platform adoption efforts for a new money movements platform that your team owns Manage business critical money movement systems and partner with integration teams that plug into our network of banking partners Lead a team of 7-9 engineers Bring technical strategy balancing quality, features, and delivery timelines Champion engineering culture through mentoring, hiring, and process improvements Have a relationship and work arrangements with teams in the US that ensures transparency and autonomy Ensure platform excellence in security, performance, and minimal technical debt Collaborate globally across time zones with product, engineering, and business teams. You will partner with product managers to understand requirements, translate these requirements into technical tasks, and ensure the engineering team delivers the expected outcome. - Join us as an Engineering Manager on the Global Money Movements team. Our mission is to enable the world's most trusted financial services through a platform that allows modular, reusable components to move money around the world. On this team, you'll lead a team of software engineers to build resilient, scalable, micro-service solutions that empower Remitly's future architecture.
- You'll contribute to engineering strategy, lead global expansion and platform adoption efforts, and evolve the team's engineering practices and culture. You will guide the creation of excellent technical systems with minimal technical debt, be a partner who creates a welcoming team culture across the company and manage a team of 7-9 engineers while growing the careers of team members and shaping the engineering culture of Remitly as a whole.
