We have a unique opportunity for you to join our Global Cloud Services - Google Cloud Security & Compliance team and lead the Cloud Security Posture management initiatives using cutting edge technology and AI supporting tools. Your role is to be a trusted advisor and a hands-on contributor to secure GCP estate of a global financial services organization and ensure on-going compliance. Your expertise will also help us increase the Cloud Adoption and Customer Satisfaction rate efficiently and effectively.

What you’ll do

• Build, deploy and manage the HSBC GCP foundation platform applications primarily using Google Cloud products like BigQuery, GKE, Cloud Build, Cloud Run etc. and Python as programming language.
• Engineer solutions on GCP foundation platform using Infrastructure As Code methods (e.g. Terraform, Config Connector).
• Engineering activities to implement preventive security solutions centrally to improve overall security posture.
• Integrate, configure, deploy, and manage centrally provided common cloud services covering IAM, networking, logging, Operating systems, Containers etc.
• Ensure compliance with centrally defined Cloud Security Standards.
• Ensure compliancy with Operational risk standards (E.g. Network, Firewall, OS, Logging, Monitoring, Availability, Resiliency).
• Build and support continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD) and continuous testing activities.
• Ensure good Change management practice is implemented as specified by central standards. Update support and operational documentation as required.
