Job description

For one of our client, we are looking for a Team Leader to lead a software development team.

Your responsibilities

  • Leading a local development team of approximately 7 members, including software engineers and a tester
  • Managing and refining the team's backlog to ensure smooth delivery
  • Supporting the team in resolving technical challenges, both internally and in collaboration with architects
  • Utilizing JIRA to oversee estimations, development progress, and delivery timelines
  • Identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies at the team level
  • Ensuring the quality of developed epics in close cooperation with your team and the Product Owner
  • Participating in meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Driving process improvements and contributing to the broader engineering community

What We're Looking For :

  • Master's degree in a technical field (preferably computer science)
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in the IT industry, including : at least 2 years in a leadership role within software development projects
  • Solid understanding of technologies such as Java, JavaScript, web applications, security, databases, Git, CI / CD, and test automation (hands-on experience is a plus)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster a collaborative and positive team culture
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide clear updates to management
  • Curiosity about both the technical and functional aspects of delivered solutions level of responsibility, attention to detail, and goal orientation
  • Proactive mindset, customer focus, and problem-solving attitude
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (primarily within the EU, but potentially outside as well)
  • Fluency in both English and Polish, written and spoken
