Job descriptionJIRA Confluence We seek a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Manager (Big Data) to join our growing Samsung Ads team. You will be closely working with local team in Warsaw, having also many opportunities of collaboration with Samsung’s remote teams across the globe (US, India, UK). As part of our team, you'll work alongside talented product managers, designers and engineers to create scalable, high-performing systems that drive value for our global customers. Manage complex & multi-domain project for worldwide stakeholders Define objectives and ensure that project goals are met within agreed upon time and scope Risk & issue monitoring and coordination Be responsible for tasks assignment, status reporting, scheduling, performance management Concluding various analysis & preparation of related reports and presentations Gather technical requirements and leading technical activities to address market specific needs in product development Actively contribute to quarterly planning sessions At least 5 years of experience managing software development University degree in Computer Sciences, Telecommunication and / or similar Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environments while prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities Experience in the software development lifecycle Excellent communication and facilitation skills Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills Experience in working with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark and MapReduce) Knowledge of database (SQL / NoSQL) technologies (Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB) Experience in working with Kubernetes and stream data processing frameworks Ability to work under time pressure and quickly adapt to changing requirements Very good knowledge of MS Office ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Fluency in business English (verbally and in writing) Friendly working atmosphere Wide range of trainings (technical / soft-skills / e-learning platform) Opportunity to work in multiple projects Multidisciplinary and multicultural team Working with the latest technologies on the market Possibility to attend local and foreign conferences Opportunity to participate in science research (scientific papers, project proposals, patents applications, development of own side-projects) A partial reimbursement of the cost of an English language course Possibility to learn Korean for free Possibility to test new Samsung products Office in Warsaw Spire near metro station Attractive relocation package Hybrid model of work – 3 days from the office per week sharing the costs of sports activities private medical care sharing the costs of foreign language classes life insurance corporate products and services at discounted prices integration events dental care no dress code leisure zone pre-paid cards baby layette charity initiatives unlimited free access to Copernicus Science Center mentoring program psychological support possibility to test new Samsung products
