Platform Architect

The Platform Architect – Customer Platform, will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining an established technical platform, built in Azure. As a Platform Architect, you will be responsible for translating technical requirements into effective technical solutions / improvements, ensuring scalability, reliability, cost efficiency, and alignment with best practices.

You have experience developing production grade platforms built in Azure, leveraging React, C#, and .NET framework. You are highly ambitious, career driven, humble, and customer obsessed. On the customer platform team, everything we do is for the customer. This person understands the customer's priority, they make technical recommendations and improvements to our platform accordingly.

The Platform Architect will coach and guide our engineers - providing relevant and constructive input on development, testing and deployment tasks. They will also collaborate closely with our customer platform development and operations teams, ensuring smooth handover of production solutions to our operations team. This person will lead the ongoing review of code, documentation, and knowledge sharing sessions with the operations team.

The role will include day-to-day collaboration and design discussions with our Global Supply Chain Planning and Analytics (GPA) team, as well as with our strategic software partners.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and maintains our existing high-quality technical platform
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams : including frontend and backend engineers, web and mobile teams, UI COE (center of excellence, testing COE, integration COE, product managers, and tech leadership) to define and implement new features and enhancements
• Guides the development of clean, scalable, and efficient code through code reviews, pull requests, etc.
• Ensures best practices throughout our platform by conducting continuous solution reviews
• Continuously identifies technical debt and cost efficiencies in our web and Azure ecosystem
• Stays up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in software development
• Provides technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior developers
• Designs, develops, and implements continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD) pipelines
• Creates detailed technical documentation, including system architecture, requirements specifications, run books, user guides and training materials
• Participates in project planning and execution, including task estimation, resource allocation, progress tracking and risk management
