SAP HCM Lead Consultant
Location : Remote from Europe (Occasional travel to Abu Dhabi)
Start Date : ASAP (1-month notice maximum)

About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced SAP HCM Lead Consultant to join a major digital transformation programme within the public sector. This is a long-term engagement, offering the opportunity to lead the delivery of complex SAP HCM solutions and automation initiatives within a dynamic, enterprise-level environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with deep functional expertise, a strong understanding of automation technologies, and the ability to collaborate across HR, IT, and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP HCM modules including :
Time Management
Payroll
Personnel Administration
Employee & Manager Self-Service
Deliver high-quality functional specifications and system configurations aligned with business requirements.
Drive automation use cases such as :
Auto-generation of work schedules & rotation plans
Payroll simulation and reconciliation
AI-powered onboarding workflows
Automated document generation and management
Conduct workshops with business stakeholders and gather functional / technical requirements.
Oversee system integration with third-party tools and ensure seamless interoperability.
Manage testing, training, and cut-over activities for successful go-lives.
Ensure data integrity across SAP and connected systems.
Support the roll out of AI, ML, RPA and OCR-based enhancements for :
Work-flow actor validation
Automated compliance tracking
Letter generation and template management
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of hands-on experience with SAP HCM as a functional consultant or solution lead.
Strong background in Time Management , Payroll , and Self-Service configurations.
Proven success delivering automation or AI-enhanced HR processes.
Experience integrating SAP HCM with external / third-party systems.
Ability to translate business goals into scalable SAP solutions.
Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
Able to lead functional teams and work cross-functionally in global environments.
Desirable Skills
Familiarity with : SAP Fiori apps
SAP SuccessFactors
OCR / ML technologies
RPA platforms (, UiPath, Automation Anywhere)
Experience working in public sector or large-scale HR transformation programs.
Other Details
Must be open to occasional travel to Abu Dhabi .
Candidates should be able to start immediately or within 4 weeks .
Excellent communication skills in English are essential.
