Offer Description
The person hired for this position will lead a research team in the fields of the :
- Genomics data analysis for iBLESS, ChIA-PET, ChIA-Drop, Hi-C and HiChIP experimental data;
- Three-dimensional computational modeling using ChIA-PET, ChIA-Drop, Hi-C and HiChIP experimental data;
- Statistical analysis of epigenomic data, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, RNA-seq experimental data;
- Validation and benchmarking of AI-driven bioinformatics models using molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulations;
- Computational modeling and analysis of protein-ligand interactions using tools such as GLIDE, AutoDock, RxDock, DOCK 6, LeDock, GOLD;
- Application and development of explainable AI methods to elucidate biomolecular interaction mechanisms;
- Statistical and computational analysis of molecular dynamics data using OpenMM and similar open-source libraries;
- A. Interpretation and integration of AI-generated results with biophysical knowledge;
- B. Analyzing the simulations results, formulating biophysical hypotheses;
- C. Commitment and full-time effort to the project;
- D. Initiative in identifying and resolving problems relating to the research;
- E. Management of his or her work efficiently and increase the visibility through the publications;
- F. Active participation in weekly lab meetings, scientific seminars and international conferences;
- G. Publications and individual Young Researchers grants preparation
Employment will be financed from the project titled “Center for Credible Artificial Intelligence,” funded under the FENG MAB program (agreement no. FENG.02.01-IP. / 24).

The competition is open for persons who meet the conditions specified in the regulations on the allocation of resources for the implementation of tasks financed by the Foundation for Polish Science for MAB grant
PhD degree in computer science, molecular biology, biophysics, biochemistry, bioinformatics or related discipline. The PhD degree should be obtained before the date of employment in the project. We can wait till PhD thesis defense, if needed;Excellent knowledge of English;Team work skills and experience;Documented experience with the Artificial Intelligence methods, computational modeling, statistics and machine learning applied to biological data;Documented expertise in computational biology and bioinformatics, particularly experience with molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulations, and protein structure prediction;Familiarity with AI and machine learning frameworks, explainable AI methods, and their application in biological contexts;Strong programming skills (Python, R, or equivalent), familiarity with Linux environment;Experience with analysis and interpretation of large-scale biomolecular data;Documented experience with the biological data, the whole genome sequencing, epigenomic and 3D genomics dataset;Bioinformatics and biological knowledge of chromatin-related genomics : the next generation sequencing, epigenomics, RNAseq, ATAC-seq data analysis, HiC, HiChIP, ChIA-PET, iBLESS;Priority will be given to candidates with expertise relevant to the MAB WP2 BioAI project and in agreement with the general profile of the laboratory. Preliminary work done by applicant in the context of Artificial Intelligence methods for 3DGenomics will be treated as the strong asset;Essential requirements cover the ability to work in collaboration with others, within a large research team, performing several parallel scientific tasks, independent thinking and finally the ability to deliver publishable results;Needed the highly motivated individuals willing to work in an interdisciplinary environment under stress and with strict deadlines.Specific Requirements
