British American Tobacco Poland has an exciting opportunity for a Business Operations Analyst in Warsaw

In a fast evolving nicotine category, it is paramount to have a good understanding of the market dynamics in order to provide right business recommendations. Global Portfolio Strategy Development & Planning Team is leading a programme of extracting more value from our data in order to support the decision making process. To make sure we deliver the right insights, a Global Analytical Platform combining different data sources has been developed and is now being expanded to cover more product categories. Therefore, data transformation and standardisation is required on a monthly basis, in order to ensure new categories data delivery and maintenance of the platform is in order.

The successful candidate would be expected to be an expertise in different data management as the role will have high demand of data transformation, maintenance and accuracy. Good analytical capability would be an asset.

As well as being responsible for ensuring the monthly reporting cycle runs smoothly, the role includes scope to help drive the design of efficient reporting and business processes; develop more analytics tools for users through utilising knowledge of data modelling, enhancing the platform for new functionalities / designs through working with external vendor, and to input into future releases of the tool.

We are looking for someone that has the discipline to deliver reporting activities on time and to a high quality coupled with excellent stakeholder management when interacting with users at senior level, and a hands-on ability to solve problems with the data and build new initiatives for our users.

Your key responsibilities will include :

• Automate the process of transforming and cleaning unstructured data as needed by visualization developers using a range of tools including Snowflake, Alteryx & MS Power Automate. Knowledge of Python / R and Dataiku would be advantageous.
• Collaborate with visualization developers to identify optimal data storage solutions, such as SharePoint List, Snowflake, or Excel.
• Conduct diagnostics on existing Excel reports, develop solutions, implement them, and monitor validation processes to ensure data integrity and optimal performance.
• Perform data modelling activities based on project requirements.
• Provide consultation and recommendations to visualization engineers and relevant teams regarding standard processes and optimal data solutions.
• Assist Business Analysts in conducting feasibility studies, developing proof of concepts, and providing recommendations and consultations to collaborators.
• Maintain up-to-date internal processes and documentation of quality standards to ensure alignment to process controls and audits aligned with BAT standards.
• Efficiently manage tight project timelines within a fast-paced business environment.
• Consolidate data requirements and actively engage with the Platform team to ensure data availability and accuracy.
• Establish data governance checkpoints and contribute to the development of an Operating Model.
