Position :   Purchasing Manager

Located :   Rzeszow, Poland (Office Based, Non-Hybrid)

Position Summary :

Our Partner’s Integrated Supply Polska Purchasing Manager position is responsible for the effective management of the Purchasing

function and its team members who are located in the Rzeszow Processing Centre and also those working from customer locations

within Poland. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for ensuring the Partner Systems, Processes and  Vendor Relationships for

the purchase of products, goods and materials (stock and / or non-stock) in accordance with the organization’s standards of price,

quality, timing, and reliability of supply.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Management responsibilities include but are not limited to interviewing, selecting, hiring, coaching, counseling, and disciplining

associates while enforcing company policies, procedures, and productivity standards.

  • Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the Purchasing department or function.
  • Develops and implements policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization; ensures purchasing activities meet quality standards and service level agreements for purchased products, goods, or materials while company costs are minimized.
  • Collaborates with functional team leaders on escalated issues; provide guidance on root cause analysis, corrective action plans
  • and resolution.

  • Develops a strategy to target and deliver continuous Price over Price and Total Cost of Ownership improvements.
  • Develops and drives a team culture to deliver Price over Price and Total Cost of Ownership improvements.  In doing so, establishes measurable and time bound goals with team members.  Tracks performance, providing support as required.
  • Oversees vendor negotiations taking place within the team.
  • Collaborates with other functional leaders (e.g., Operations, Strategic Initiatives, Marketing, Vendor Relations, and Product
  • Strategy) for preferred suppliers / vendors, contractual terms / conditions, delivery obligations, etc.

  • Leads on-going functional and / or system-related process improvement initiatives that contribute to the profitability of the
  • company.

  • Supports inventory management activities and initiates / supports the deployment of best practices
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications :

    Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Finance, etc.) or equivalent experience.  Minimum 5 Years of Senior procure

    ment related experience, including leadership and management of a team. Other relevant experience should include :

  • Strong background in the management of Indirect Spend Categories, MRO and General Consumables within a
  • manufacturing background.  Knowledge of the Domestic and European Supply Base is required.

  • Good knowledge of Inventory Management techniques and best practices
  • Effective staff management and development skills.
  • Mathematical aptitude for basic calculations.
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail, organizational and execution skills.
  • Proficiency with MS-Office products, especially EXCEL.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge and Application of INCOTERMS
  • Business proficient Polish and English Language (Written and Spoken) essential.
  • Management  Responsibilities :

  • Immediate supervision over a unit, section, or department where the majority of the time is
  • spent assigning, reviewing, checking work and eliminating ordinary difficulties. Recommends

    candidates for hiring, termination; prepares and conducts performance appraisals and salary

    reviews, and applies company policies.
