Global Commodity Buyer – Electronics (m / f / d)

Your Mission

As a Global Commodity Buyer – Electronics, you will play a key role in shaping and executing the global sourcing strategy for electronic components. You will be responsible for managing strategic supplier relationships, driving cost optimization initiatives, and ensuring a robust contract landscape that supports Lear's long-term business goals. Working cross-functionally with regional teams, you will contribute to performance targets and innovation across the supply base.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement commodity strategies aligned with business needs and global procurement objectives.
• Negotiate and finalize core agreements and long-term contracts with strategic suppliers to ensure cost competitiveness and supply continuity.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with Supplier Quality Development (SQD), supporting innovation and risk mitigation.
• Lead supplier relationship management efforts, including performance evaluation, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support commercial cost reduction activities, including benchmarking, insource / outsource analysis, and supplier localization planning.
