Role Overview
The Senior Technical Product Manager : CredTech
is responsible for defining and delivering the credit
technology platforms and products that enable origination, decisioning, servicing, and collections
across the enterprise. This role ensures that credit products are powered by scalable, secure, and
intelligent technology solutions, while balancing risk management, compliance, and customer
experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Own the product vision and roadmap for credit technology platforms (origination systems,
loan management, decisioning engines, collections platforms).
Align CredTech product strategy with enterprise digital transformation, lending strategy, andregulatory requirements.
Stay ahead of industry trends such as AI / ML-driven credit scoring, embedded finance, BNPL,and digital lending ecosystems.
2. Product Delivery & Execution
Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, risk, data science, operations) to deliver creditplatforms and services.
Translate business needs into technical product requirements and user stories.Oversee end-to-end delivery lifecycle, ensuring speed-to-market while maintaining quality andcompliance.
Implement real-time decisioning, API-driven origination flows, and automated loan servicingcapabilities.
3. Governance, Risk & Compliance
Ensure CredTech platforms comply with credit regulations, consumer protection laws, and riskframeworks.
Partner with risk and compliance teams to embed credit policies, affordability checks, andcredit bureau integrations.
Govern data security, privacy, and regulatory reporting within CredTech products.Support audit, compliance reviews, and regulatory interactions related to credit technology.4. Data & Decisioning Enablement
Collaborate with data science teams to enhance credit scoring models, affordabilityassessments, and risk segmentation.
Drive integration with credit bureaus, alternative data providers, and AI / ML models.Ensure real-time analytics and dashboards are available for portfolio management anddecisioning oversight.
5. Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Act as the product owner, bridging business (credit, lending, risk, collections) and technology.Manage vendor relationships with core lending platforms, credit decision engines, and fintechpartners.
Represent CredTech product strategy in executive committees, steering boards, and regulatoryforums.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field(mandatory).
Postgraduate qualification (MBA, MSc in FinTech, Risk, or Data Science) – advantageous.Professional Certifications (preferred / required) :o Credit Risk / Banking : CFA, FRM (Financial Risk Manager), or equivalent.
o Product Management : Agile Product Owner (PSPO, SAFe POPM).
o Data / Decisioning : Machine Learning or Data Analytics certifications (advantageous).
o Cloud / Platform certifications (AWS / Azure / GCP – relevant to credit platforms).
Relevant Experience
10–12 years' experience in product management or credit technology, with at least 5+ yearsin senior product ownership.
Proven track record in delivering credit / lending platforms, including origination, decisioning,and loan servicing.
Strong knowledge of credit risk management, lending workflows, and regulatoryrequirements.
Experience with decisioning engines (e.g., FICO, Experian, Provenir), credit bureauintegrations, and APIs.
Exposure to digital lending models, embedded credit, BNPL, and alternative credit scoring.Prior experience in regulated industries (banking, fintech, financial services) preferred.Core Skills & Competencies
